We were SOOOOO close. We had a tiny gain. I'm sure we will do better with the extra week in between meetings.

Wilma was our 'Best Loser' and she said to chew gum and avoid ice cream. I guess chewing the gum will help us avoid putting the ice cream in our mouths!

REMINDER: NO MEETING OR WEIGH-IN SEPTEMBER 3rd. Let's all MAKE GOOD CHOICES!

Let's all send some encouraging words to our TOPS pal Rosemary.

Since it's getting to be that time to visit the local orchards, Joanna quized us on the caloric content of some of their offerings like fruits, veggies, cider donuts and pies! We can make good choices at the orchard! For more calorie information, see THE CALORIE KING

The streak is over. We had a gain. HOWEVER, we can start a new streak next week!

Our 'Best Loser' of the week was Mary. She advised us to watch our carbs and stay away from ice cream. (VERY challenging in this heat!)

We drew for two new travel gifts. Traci and Janet get to lose and win!

The next Chinese Auction will be September 10th. Our volunteers to bring gifts are Ann C., Amanda, Traci and Mary.

IMPORTANT: There is NO WEIGH-IN OR MEETING SEPTEMBER 3rd.

Ann C. talked to us about some new contests and incentives. She is accepting all ideas. See the roster for her e-mail.

We are still moving the scale in a downward trajectory!

Our 'Best Loser' of the week was Bonnie. She recommended that we keep our salt intake low and avoid ice cream.

July's 'Best Loser' was Mary! Way to go!!

Traci and Paulette were both given awards for losing their first 10 pounds. Congratulations!!

Let's all give a big TOPS welcome back to Rosemary!

After 3 weeks of losses, Lorraine got to open her travel gift.
Marcia and Joanna drew new ones. Good luck!

Amanda won this round of the dice draw and that means more money was put into the SRD fund.

Chinese Auction will be next week, Carol, Cindy, Lorraine and Linda K are supplying prizes.

We had a report on the quarterly KOPS luncheon that was held in Amsterdam. The volunteer coordinator from the regional food bank was the guest speaker.

Joanna's program asked us "what equals success?"

We all participated in the 'Trek to Orlando', where IRD will be held, and TOPS members all over the world 'trekked' over 10 MILLION MILES!!!!

Joanna had a game for us called "Fruit and Veggie BINGO"
Ann won a cucumber

Some folks won lemons

If you haven't noticed, some familiar faces have been absent from our meetings. Ann C. suggested that we call or e-mail our members who we haven't seen.
