OKAY, the holidays are basically over, and it's time to get back on track to goal.
So-oooo for the Month of January, we're doing a PLEDGE TO LOSE (optional). When you come in for your first Weigh-in of the year, you will give me the number of pounds you Pledge to Lose [NET] in the Month of January 2009. Be realistic for YOU.
I, ______________, PLEDGE TO LOSE _____# in JANUARY 2009.
The Loss/Gain on the 8th of January does not count. Just need the the weight for beginning numbers for member's "Pledge to Lose". [Example -- First WT. on Jan. 8th is 170#, THEN last WT. of month on January 29th is 165# which equals a 5# NET LOSS.

KOPS MUST GIVE the Weight Dept. a Weight [maybe 5# below goal] they wish to attain. Some a gain - some a loss. With my past experience, I've found that KOPS that maintain approximately five pounds below goal is at their safest weight in leeway.
HOWEVER, to be eligible for Award - Member MUST weigh-in on the 29th of January for the FULL month's evaluation of their Pledge to Lose.
I'm looking forward to, and We ALL need a get back on track Attitude for 2009. I hope the chapter has many New and Reinstated KOPS this year.
